Welcome...
...to the homepage of someone who, after many years, bought the motorbike he always wanted then very shortly afterwards started pulling bits off it and adding a few others. All that story and some hopefully useful or interesting items about other bikes and cars of mine as well as anything else I choose to dump here! NOTE: As of 21st May 2005 I'm still alive and well(ish) and the bike is still mine but I never really update this site except for the occasional note or Alfa stuff but I will add some new pics etc eventually (probably)(maybe). In the Beginning... The bits I pulled off? - Mainly plastics, air box etc.. The bits I added? - Ahh well that's where it gets a little more interesting, because aside from a few of the more conventional improvements e.g. pod filters, better exhaust system and so on, a white mist descended and a bottle of Nitrous Oxide was plumbed in... |

| Way back in 1992 I saw a magazine advertisement for a Moto Guzzi Daytona. It was one of the most amazing bikes that I had ever seen, you just cannot ignore that engine... ...and I wanted one. However at the time I would not have got much of a trade in against my KMX125 and lacking a full license did not help either. | ||||
| Five years and three bikes later (GS550- 2 weeks, absolutely horrid; CBX550 - 30 miles then an electrical fault turned it into an ongoing project, that was 'ongoing' for 10 years till I sold it and someone else took up the challenge of restoring it; Honda Transalp - 2 years, great bike, completely underrated.) I was in the mood for something new and a Cagiva Elefant took my fancy. | ||||
| Tracking down the local dealer I was greeted, there at the back of the showroom on a pedestal (it's rightful position) by a Silver Moto Guzzi 1100 Sport Carb. A deal was struck and it was mine... all mine... hahaa ahaahaa - continue maniacal laughter ad nauseum. | ||||
| Now, being brought up in a family of engineers and having a natural curiosity\inventive tendency (read - has habit of taking things apart and usually putting them together again) the Guzzi was not to remain OEM for long. | ||||
